Royal Run is an annual sports event that takes place in several Danish cities

The race was first held on May 21, 2018, in celebration of HM the King of Denmarks 50th birthday, and the Royal Family has participated in the Royal Run ever since.

An opportunity for everybody

Royal Run is an opportunity for everybody to take part in this unique event with the royal family where running, walking and something in between is in focus. Hopefully this event will encourage people to be physically active on this day and in general.

Participants can choose to either walk or run the three distances: One mile (1.6 km), 5 km, and 10 km.

The event is organized so that everyone can participate. Athletes or ambitious runners can compete and chase personal records. The rest of us can join the festive event at our own pace – and it is possible for whole families, elderly, and those with disabilities to participate and enjoy the celebration in the streets of the five host cities.
